Starting in v22.0, Canary has the option to turn on audit logging for admin configuration changes to help support 21 CFR Part 11 use cases.

To enable this feature:

1. Open the Canary Admin
2. Select the Messages tile and navigate to Configuration>Verbosity.
3. Check the box to 'Enable EAL'.

When enabled, audit messages will be written to both the 'Default' message log as well as the 'auditlog.sqlite'.

Messages logged in the Default database are trimmed after 1 year (or if the log exceeds 1.5 millions messages). Messages stored in the auditlog.sqlite database are stored indefinitely.
