Configuring Disk Space Limit For Historian (version 24)

The Historian will send an alert (if the system is configured to do, see Configuring the Canary System to Send Email Alerts) when there is 2048 MB of storage left on the disk. Data will continue to be stored until there is 1024 MB of disk space left, at which point, a new alert is sent indicating that new data will be discarded. To change these limits:

1. Open the C:\ProgramData\Canary\Historian\historian.service.json file.
2. Modify the LowDiskLevel and MinDiskLevel to the desired level (MB).

   

3. Save the file, then restart the Historian service.
