Storing Events in an External SQL Database (version 26)

By default, Canary stores its events in a SQLite database, C:\ProgramData\Canary\Events\CanaryEvents.sqlite. If wishing to store these events in an external Microsoft SQL database, the user can modify the EVENTS DATABASE SETTINGS from the Calcs & Events>Settings>Settings screen.

Once configured, the service will attempt to create the database using the given 'Name' on the provided 'Server'. If this fails, the attached CanaryEvents xx-x.sql script can be used to create the database and its tables on the SQL server. For v26.3+, use CanaryEvents 26-3.sql.
