Use of Spanish "ñ" in the username breaks Axiom login

Hello!

I've just recently installed v26.7 (clean install) in our dev server and found an interesting issue with my surname  as it has a Spanish "ñ" and Axiom did not like it, given an Oops error and the following logged in Messages. 

It works ok in 25.x on another server I have. The picture is the warning, but there is a Session Process Crashed message too with similar content.
