Create Asset Frame work - ISA 95 structure independent from views and tags

Can you create a separate Asset management tree that`s not linked to tag names/views ? We need something static that`s not part of the tag structure and nomenclature. Also, we could attach templates and other information for context. Assets are linked to tags afterwards

    I too would like to know this if you gained any insights.

    As far as I can see, an asset is just 'all the tags that match a naming pattern' I'd like to know how to add constants, table lookups and other non-time-series information to an asset.
