Canary Link tag

Hi Steve Mason ,

We done Ignition upgrade from vision to perspective version. But the issue I have is, when people created the Perspective tag during the design and testing time, did not assign the tag to the device and during that period the data recorded by new tag see 'zero', whereas the vision tag have accurate reading.

So, if I use the link tag option in ( Version 23), to merge the new tag with old tag, it will replace the old tag data by zero, where it shares data on the same timestamps. Is there any option for me to ignore the data of new tag for the period of time when the tag was reading dead value or choose a date from which new tag have to link the old tag?

In the example blue line is new tag and gray colour is old tag on a daily usage rate.

Thank you

    Hi h james ,

The Linked Tags feature expects there to be overlap between tags. In that case, tags in the first column in the csv file take precedence over the tags in the 2nd column. If you place the old tag in the first column then, it should "overwrite" the new tag for that time frame.
