Should Rare updating data be meta data or a tag?

Lets say I have data point which maybe only update once a year but we require it for calcs and events. Do we create a tag or put it in meta data and update the meta data as an when required?

Hi adand ,
I guess it depends if you want history of that value. If you use it as meta data, we do not track history of that property. So if you go to backfill a calc, that value will hold true for the entire history of the calculation. Whereas with a tag, it's value can change and the output of the calc will depend upon the value of the input tag and its history.
