Canary System: Linux Support

Working towards the ability to run Canary services in Docker containers, specifically the MQTT Collector and the OPC UA Collector.

Expected Release: Q3 2026

Enumeration Sets (Digital States)

When requesting data from digital state tags, clients will receive the mapped value that is stored within the enumerated set. Enumerated sets are configured in the Views service.

Expected Release: Q3/Q4 2026

Asset Attributes

Attributes are attached to asset types within a Virtual View. Asset attributes appear as tags but without the history - only a current value - similar to properties.

    I was just curious how development on a linux version is coming? Will the OPC Collector be available on Linux?

      Hi benjamin. reemsnyder ,

      I can't give you a time frame yet, but we are working on getting all Canary services to run on Linux, including the OPC Collector. V24 brought about many new changes, and we're still wanting to solidify the stability of the software in a Windows environment before we push it into Linux.

    I'm excited for the Docker container version expected for Q2 2026. I tried Canary about a year, and now I'm installing it at a customer. Both times, I looked for a containerized version.
