I have many tags configured with engineering units in KEPServerEX. What is the best way to get these engineering units configured in Canary?

Hi douglas. lawrie ,

You can add the Eng Units column to the collector using the TAG PROPERTIES button in the top right corner. Once there, you will need to use the full OPC Node ID for the property encapsulated in [brackets] like I'm showing here:

Thanks for your answer, Steve. Is this applicable only to tag-based collectors? I am handling 1.5 million tags across 8 collectors so I am using path based collectors.

  douglas. lawrie , it is. Unfortunately, we do not have a solution for path-based sessions at this time. We're not sure how we would dynamically handle properties as not all tags have the same properties, or the user may not want all of the properties for each tag being logged.

Thanks, Steve. It seems like an alternative solution to this would be to allow importing whole "folders" from an OPC server into a tag-based collector, or being able to turn a path-based collector into a static tag-based collector with the currently browsed tags.
