Ignition - Backfill data from SQL database
We are hoping to use Canary historian for our existing Ignition system but are concerned about access to our existing data. Does anyone know if there's an accepted way to backfill existing data from our current SQL database into the new Canary historian? Is this a built-in feature?
Thanks in advance!

Hi ,
It can be done, but it's typically something one of our integrator partners would handle as there is no built-in feature to automatically do it. Usually we get live data going into the Canary system, then at a later point history is brought over into a separate DataSet. Being that it resides in a SQL database, we would probably use our SQL Collector to consume it. The SQL Collector has a Seeding option for such purposes when backfilling historical data.
