Canary Admin Default Target

Hi,

I have the Canary Admin Client installed on my laptop, without the Admin Service. 99% of the time, I need to connect to the Historian node and the rest to a fleet of S+F collectors.

The Client always tries, unsuccessfully, to connect to localhost. Is there anywhere that I can set its default target?

I scratched around the AppData and ProgramData, but couldn't see anything.

Not a high priority thing, just a quality of life request.

    Hi ,

    If you open the Admin tile>Settings screen, there is a checkbox to Persist Last Connection. This allows you to automatically connect to the last Admin service you were connected to prior to closing the Admin.

       I was working with Stephen for a while on case 9742. The Persist check box wasn't doing anything. I think after I upgraded to 24.2 it finally started listening to me. So much have been a bug in 24.1 somewhere.

       what version are you on?

    Hi 

    I'm on 24.2, so  solution did work.

    I would never have thought to look there. In my mind, the Admin Tile on the historian node should contain settings regarding the Admin service on the historian. I was looking for Admin Client related settings on my local machine, to decide who to connect to on startup.

    It did work. Thanks for the help!
