Calculation Min Duration not working for Event trigger

I had set a condition to trigger event, with if condition to check when the power usage>5A and also difference between temp probe to Setpoint greater than 10C to trigger an Event with min 40min duration to avoid fake alarm at the production start.

But the calculation triggering event after 2 min from production start? is it a bug?

We are running with Version 22.3.

Looking forward for a solution.
Thanks

    Hi ,

I think you may want to create a separate event that monitors the [HE_Status] tag. If the tag equals one for 40min, then trigger the event.

as you mentioned I have created a view, which takes all the status tags. Then used this view to create an event and set trigger the event only if the status tag stayed true for 40 min. But for some reason it is triggering the same time as we have seen above. Could you please show me an example how to set it up with some dummy names?

I would keep the calculation you have now, but remove the Is Event Start Trigger. In a separate calculation, do a comparison [HE_Status]=1 which will return True or False. Set that expression to be your event start trigger.

Thanks Steve, but no luck as I tried that before, even changed the frequency to value change. Also, I tried to take individual tag than pulling from asset view which have multiple tags under heating elements, still no luck. The event get trigger when the condition is true and not waiting for 20 min min duration.

I'm not sure why it would trigger it immediately. I'm not aware of any bug, but you could try upgrading to 23.2.1 to see if it persists. The latest release is 25.3, but you would need to get to 23.2.1 before you could upgrade to the latest.

I would submit a support ticket to support@canarylabs.com and ask for 23.2.1.

Thanks Steve. We have already started the process to upgrade to latest version.
