Migrating historical Pi data and tags into a new Canary historian.

Hello, very interested in this topic too, as I have very similar use case. 

I would expect to either download the historical data into CSV or into SQL database, and use any of the CSV/SQL collectors. I guess one can use API's to read from PI and write into Canary, but may take some time to code it.

Canary has developed utilites to move historical data from Pi either via their WebAPI or thru PiAFSDK. Canary makes these utilities available to our system integrator partners who can assist with the process. Both of these require Pi's PSA license to be active. If the PSA license is not active, then CSV dumps is about the only other way to migrate data.
