I'm new in Canary and I would like to install Axiom Desktop in a server without internet access. Where can I download de Axiom_Setup.exe for manual installation?

    Hi rodrigopoyanco ,

Axiom is typically used in a browser if you have something like Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc. It does NOT work with IE. The machine does not need internet access in order for this to work. It just needs to be able to connect to the historian server where the Axiom Core is installed. You do this by typing in the machine name of the historian server in the address bar (http://CanaryServerName/). If you want to still use the desktop client as opposed to the browser you can, but please know that this desktop client is being retired in v24 as it will no longer be needed.

To install the desktop app you can log into Axiom using a browser, open a new chart or application, then click on the username in the upper-right corner and select 'Download App...'

Or, you can use the url http://CanaryServerName/axiom_install/ then click the download link.

Hi Steve Mason thank you for your reply.

I was thinking that I couldnt download the app because I don't have internet access, but I can did it in disconnected mode. The problem that I see is that the app get stuck checking for update, so maybe I can't use the desktop version.

About your comment of "the desktop client is being retired", I suppose then that the browser version is 100% fully functional and we don't need the desktop client at all?

    Thank you again.

Yes, the browser option is 100% fully functional and is the more widely adopted of the two. Unless there is some other compelling reason to use the desktop client, which I am not aware of, the browser option is preferred as the desktop version will be going away.
