Loggers Stops sending data

Hi,

I have the version 21.4.0.21273 installed in two different machines, but I have a problem of receiving data from one of them.

In the CanaryAdministrator/Logger, I have configured the Argument "/delay:30" in both machines for them to restart logging data whenever the machine stops working (outage of power, reboots, etc). However, for one of the machines it does not work and I have to open the LoggerAdmin in every occurrence, select the file with the correct TAGs and restart the whole operation to start receiving the data again.

Any ideas of what could be causing this problem?

Thank you very much.

Igor

  • Hi igorsantos ,

Are there any errors/warnings in the message log concerning this? I see that the logger file is located in C:\Users. Is that true for both machines? The Canary Logger service runs under the Local System account, and I'm wondering if it doesn't have permission to access that directory on the one server. You could try relocating the logger file, updating the filepath in the Canary Admin>Logger tile, then restarting the Logger service. This would be the same as a reboot, just to test if it is able to open and start logging without manual intervention.
