    The High Performance HMI Handbook tends to be the industry standard.

    If you so choose, you can configure your own custom Axiom themes by editing CSS.  You can find the existing themes in C:\Program Files\Canary\Axiom\WebFiles\theme\ and simply copy one of them, make your changes, and rename the file.

    This is a really good book. I highly recommend it for anyone who designs HMI's.
