Certificates for the ODBC Service

Hello,

I'm trying to setup the ODBC Client to retrieve data from Canary Historian via SQL queries. So far the ODBC has been correctly setup (in the same server as the Canary Historian where I keep the ODBC Service), but currently having issues with connectivity, as it identifies SSL trust issues. The setup is based on an API token with Tag Security enabled.

When looking at this article, I can see that it refers to some certificates that need to be added to the Historian server. How To Install and Configure the ODBC Client (version 25) - ODBC Client - Canary Community

However, I'm not sure from where those certificates have been obtained, and what they represent (i'm assuming some wildcard domain certificates we need to generate on our end?). Appreciate some help on this topic.

Thanks

    Hi ,

It would need to be a trusted certificate and the corresponding private key that you would generate on your end. It does not need to be a wildcard certificate.
