How to delete a tag from history

I have a few instances where I initially added tags and then changing the naming structure of them. I'd like to delete the original naming from history without deleting the entire dataset. Is there a way to do that?

Hi James, we see this question a lot.  You have two options.  You could delete the tag from the DataSet altogether, or you could choose to rename the tag from how it was once named so it now matches the new tag name, thus stitching the history from two tags into one.  Which would you rather do?

Within the Historian tile of the Canary Admin, you can select a DataSet and choose to obsolete tags. Follow this guide to easily do so - https://helpcenter.canarylabs.com/t/p8hfz51/deleting-or-obsoleting-tags-from-a-dataset-version-21
