Using the iFrame Control to display a Wi-Fi WebCam

Hello,

I've set up an old iPhone to use as an IP Web Cam. I'm using DroidCam on the iPhone. From a Web Browser on the machine that runs Canary, I can easily access the page using the following address:

http://192.168.10.30:4747/video

However, when I configure the iFrame with this address, nothing happens. I get the message that something went wrong.

For us, being able to display live trend alongside a live video of the machine would be or enormous value! I hope it can be done! Any suggestion?

Thanks,

Francois

  • Hi ftremblay ,

Are there any errors in the message log pertaining to this? Are there any errors in the console of the browser?

Here are the errors shown in the console of the browser

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://localhost:4443/#Application=Public%2FSimulation%5CPhone' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure frame 'http://192.168.10.30:4747/video'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
:4443/#Application=P…imulation%5CPhone:1 Uncaught (in promise) Error: A listener indicated an asynchronous response by returning true, but the message channel closed before a response was received

Browsers don't allow you to load unsecure (http) content within a secure (https) page. You would need to use a secure link for the webcam or sign in to Axiom anonymously (http).

Steve Mason Thank you Steve! This is working great! It was only a matter of anonymous login as you said!
