Canary Edge Solution for PLC Cabinet Level Datalogging

As someone with extensive experience in the automation industry, I have found Canary Historian to be an invaluable tool in our operations. However, based on my experience, I believe there is a significant opportunity to enhance your product line further.

Currently, I miss a datalogger with the capability to be installed at the PLC cabinet level. The new direction that Canary Historian is taking is promising, and I would like to see this evolve into a robust Canary Edge solution, as depicted in the attached image.

In this proposed solution, the AXIOM at the local historian needs only to be equipped with basic short-term trend capabilities. This setup would take full advantage of the Sender/Receiver mechanism, providing a seamless and efficient data flow from the PLC data source to both short-term and long-term historians.

Integrating such a feature would significantly improve the flexibility and scalability of data logging and trend analysis in industrial environments, particularly in remote and distributed setups. I am confident that this addition would be highly appreciated by many in the industry.
