***ATTENTION*** - Events Service Merging Into Calculation Service Starting in v21.4

Starting in v21.4, the Canary Event Service will be obsoleted and merged into the Canary Calculation Service. Any preexisting events will be converted over during the upgrade process and appear in the Calculations list.

To view these events using the Canary Admin, click on the "bell" icon under the 'EVENTS' column.

The events will continue to be stored in the same location, whether it is in the default directory, C:\ProgramData\Canary Labs\Events\CanaryEvents.sqlite, or in an external SQL database. To configure these settings, the user can click on the the 'Settings' tab at the bottom of the Calculations menu.

If storing events in an external SQL database prior to upgrading to 21.4, these parameters should be automatically updated upon completing the installation process.

  • I upgraded from Version 19 and all my events did not convert over. is there a way to import the old events or do i have to recreate all of them?

    • shawn. hakim We have logic in place to automatically convert the legacy events over to the new Calculation service when the new version is installed. There could have been an issue with the conversion. Please submit a ticket to support@canarylabs.com and we can setup a screen share to determine the problem and potentially re-convert the events.
