Excel Add-in Feature Parity with Views API
Right now, the list of functions available in the Excel Add-in is limited compared to the Views API.
The most important functions would be the Asset Methods, specifically GetAssetInstaces with the optional FilterExpression parameter.
Please add functions for the following features to be at parity with the Views API:
Data Methods
GetAnnotations
GetQualities
Asset Methods
GetVirtualViews
GetAssetTypes
GetAssetTypeTags
GetAssetInstances

As a super user, I’ve built multiple Views for Axiom that leverage Asset Types for hierarchical organization. It would be extremely useful if the Excel Add-In supported selecting higher-level groupings (e.g., Asset Types) from these Views. This would eliminate the need to manually recreate the hierarchy in Excel.

This week our upper management team requested I export data to the Excel Add-In, and when I was manually selecting the individual tags, I accidentally selected an extra tag. Upper management ran calculations using this dataset, but bad data in = bad data out. If I could have selected my Asset Type from my View as I do in Axiom, I would not have had to spend time manually clicking on individual tags and would have had the correct data set with less potential for error.
