Install Publisher service on dedicated server?
Can the Publisher service be installed on a dedicated server and if so are there any licensing impacts?
I'm sure it depends how many sessions are configured, but wondering how "heavy" Publisher actually is, whether doing that to offload the work from the main server(s) is worth the effort and overhead of maintaining another install.

It can be remote. When configuring an instance you give it the hostname of your View server and a View name.

And you don't need an extra license (speaking with absolutely no authority here). I guess if you wanted Views locally with Publisher, you would need another license. But, it can connect to a remote View.

The Views service is what's doing most of the heavy lifting. If you offload the Publisher by itself, it's still hitting the same Views service and I don't know if that's worth it. If you're trying to offset the resources being consumed, you're better off installing a Views service alongside the Publisher which would require a Views license.
