How to Configure a Global Inactive Timeout Setting for Axiom Sessions

The global inactive timeout setting is used to log a user out of his/her session if the session has been inactive for a given amount of time. In order to configure this feature:

  1. Open File Explorer on the server on which the Axiom core has been installed and navigate to C:\Program Files\Canary\Axiom\WebFiles\settings.json
  2. Set the "inactive_timeout" parameter to the desired time in milliseconds. "0" is off.                   
  3. Save the file. A service restart is NOT needed. (Axiom sessions will pick up the change when they are initiated.)

If a user's session is inactive for the amount of milliseconds configured, the following screen will appear:
